I live in northwest London in the United Kingdom. I originally trained as furniture designer, but I’ve always had a passion for film because as a child both of my parents were actors, so I got to spend a lot of time on film sets. In my mid 20s I decided I wanted to do something in film too, so I moved to Los Angeles where I worked as a script editor for Bonaire Films and The Overseas Film Group. I was also a Line Producer and a 1st AD on a few low budget Hollywood features.
I’ve been writing screenplays myself for about 8 years now. My scripts have placed in the finals of many international competitions, including:
2009: My screenplay GALE COVE wins The Big Picture (UK Film Network).
2009: My screenplay GALE COVE makes the semi-finals of the British Feature Screenplay Competition.
2008: My screenplay GALE COVE (1st Draft) makes the finals of The Blue Cat Screenwriting Lab.
2007: My short script HOPE wins 2nd prize in The Script Nurse Mini Movie Contest.
2006: My feature screenplay STITCH-UP makes the finals of The Annual Fade In Awards.
2006: My story pitch DEAD COMPASSIONATE wins the Raindance Live-Ammo Pitch.
2005: My short scripts DADDY'S DOLL, FOLIE A DEUX, and CIRCLE OF VIOLENCE make the finals of The British Short Screenplay Competition.
2004: My screenplay SWAG makes the finals of The Open Door Screenwriting Contest sponsored by Miramax Films.
