Stuart was born in Kent where he has lived for most his life, over the last 25 years his work has taken him to countries like Russia, Ukraine and Germany amongst many others before settling down in Spain for five years which is where his love for writing took hold.
He studied the concept of script writing via reading books and film scripts, with his passions being comedy and drama. His first project was based on a true story called “Folkestone to 34th street” about how two people’s paths kept crossing; eventually fate took its toll. It was a very Nora Ephron-esq project but it taught him the fine art of story, structure and principles. Soon after he was taken on by Star Writers Literary agency whilst living in Spain, where he also wrote a TV comedy drama called “The Management Company” about a holiday rentals firm based near Marbella.
On his return to England one of his short films was produced by a TV production company based in London and was used by Kent police and local schools for an Anti knife campaign.
Since then he’s gone on to write “The pocket watch” about an archaeologist who finds a timeless piece of history buried in the mud for sixty years and his struggle to unravel the story, and “Rock Bottom” the story of a burnt out Rockstar resigned to working in a holiday park and left with the fortuitous daughter of his dead wife.
He now lives on an abandoned WW2 RAF Airfield near Dover in Kent, and it wasn’t long before he hit on a great idea and set about writing a three part drama for television called “Pilot Error” about two boys who disappear from an abandoned RAF station eighteen years apart, only to find themselves back in time, fighting for their country and flying for their lives during the Battle Of Britain.
