Before I dove into screenwriting, I was more of a poet, comic book aficianado, and student of language and writing. This, in fact, led to my recent Bachelors Degree in Linguistics from the University of Hawaii. Because I think cinematically when I write, I switched gears and became a student of the screenplay format.
