Jim Farina

I was born in Chicago and have lived in the area all my life. I now reside in Palatine, Illinois, which is about 30 miles northwest of the city, with my wife, Tari and my two children.

I currently work for a Chicago-based market research firm and freelance as a commercial copywriter, Eden Copywriting Services. I’m an avid reader and enjoy historic fiction, the classics, travel narratives, spy and adventure thrillers and Bible study. I also enjoy the outdoors in all seasons and can walk endlessly in a wooded setting.

Jack London is one of my favorite authors. It had been my ambition for years to adapt London’s 1909 classic, Martin Eden, into a feature length screenplay. I attempted to remain as faithful as possible to London’s original material and my hope is that when one day discovered, my screenplay would find a producer, director and team that would share my purist sentiments regarding this classic work.

I would like to one day write a feature length screenplay on the life and times of author Jack London, pending permission from the London estate.
