Five optioned screenplays .
At the request of a production company in Canada and based on their loglines, I wrote two Hallmark-type screenplays but they were unable to come up with financing. Also wrote a script for a well-known end-times author of one of his books.
Some of my screenplays have done well in competitions, including Kairos, Story Pros, Emerging Screenwriters, ISA Family and Holiday Screenplay competition, Austin Film Festival, Christian Film Festival, Wild Bunch Film Festival, Red Dirt Film Festival, and more.
I'm retired after having worked 20 years for attorneys (including a retired appellate court judge), for the Board of Governors for California Community Colleges, for a lieutenant governor, and finally as executive secretary for the 19-member California Medical Board. I've owned gift/craft boutiques in Old Town Auburn, as well as in Moss Landing, California. In addition to writing screenplays, I enjoy genealogy, can trace some of my lines back to the 1600s, and my other hobby is painting. Perhaps my biggest painting "thrill" was having a portrait I did of the lieutenant governor (later a U.S. Congressman) and it was hung in his reception office. I understand it was also hung in one of his congressional offices.
