My love for life was firmly established in childhood during moments alone on the shores of a brook where miniature roses bloomed in Staten Island. The desire to learn from relationships and nature has always been strong, more than from books, so odd jobs covered traveling costs, until starting a career of about twenty-five years of international civil service with the US Department of Defense. My daughters teamed up to tame several acres of land in Virginia, which profited enough to retire early. Thanks to all my explorations, there's no lack of ideas. My stories take place in other times that show how truths don't depend on circumstances. Mentors like Robert McKee encourage me to believe that my writing might contribute to the kind of entertainment that delights an audience in a meaningful way, to help any person realize that every life experience is a gift to treasure.
