I don't remember a time when I did not enjoy writing. My childhood through high school, I spent a great deal of time focusing on my craft. In 2006, however, I received a full scholarship to UK for Track & Field which consumed my life. It was a strange time to have success on the field yet still feel distant from my passion of writing. Unfortunately, as happens to many athletes, I experienced one too many injuries and was forced to forfeit my scholarship my junior year. Being from Atlanta, I took time away from school to wait out the additional two years for in-state tuition. This through me into the world of business where I quickly obtained management positions. Having to go to school on and off due to family and work, I will finally be graduating in December 2015 with two Bachelors of Arts and one Certificate. Since my return to school, all of my classes have been film and writing which has peaked my passion once again. Now I can't stop writing, and I hope to make a career out of what I love so much. Management's not too bad, but it's certainly a far cry from writing.
