I'm an amateur screenwriter with a passion for storytelling. I've been writing and reading screenplays on and off--more off than on, I'm afraid--since 1999. I've written/co-written several screenplays, shorts, and a few graphic novellas.
I was the second writer on John Bradley's Yesterday (also called Twist of Fate), which was a semi-finalist in the 2014 Big Break competition and can be found on his Talentville profile.
I'm a Trigger Street refugee, where I'd reviewed a few dozen scripts since the site's launch in 2002.
I'm always interested in talking about storytelling, so don't hesitate to contact me about a review, or if you'd like me to look at your work.
I'm a fan of Joseph Campbell's monomyth, not only as a storytelling paradigm, but as a way of looking at the world. I believe there's an element of chaos, magic and instinct in storytelling, so I try to avoid a "one-size-fits-all" rubric for reviewing work. For a story to be what it needs to be, it might have to break a few, maybe several, of the "rules."
