After thirty years in sociology I dropped it to train as a screenwriter. I have two scripts for the market and am working on to more.
BITTER BEANS:
Witted Conchita questions the heartless dealers of the village’s coffee beans. Chasing the beans she sees them lowered into the black bottomless hold of a freighter. She hops on board. Traveling three continents she meets double dealers and tricksters to finally outwit them all and get what she wants.
Conchita is like Chaplin in Modern Times, a tiny cog in a huge machine. The script has won prestigious awards.
A FATAL CURE
Helena, the hub of the PR department suspects a stress reducing pill for serious side effects and alerts her team.
The new sociopath legal adviser manipulates her arguments to the point that she is stigmatized as paranoid. When a colleague takes a pill and gets in a coma she contacts her long lost Flower Power group. They have all she needs. She uses it.
Helena is like Erin Brockowitch, she tracks down what is true and what is not and confronts the ones in power. The script won several awards.
BULLSHIT: The government allocates the Unit for clear water to a place far from the metropole and is confronted with the local -down to earth - opinion about clear drinking water. A script in development.
HANG ON:
Nicole, teaching math in third grade sees her naivety shattered as bullying in her class culminates. She discovers how math tests ruin the children’s self-confidence and friendships. What can she do?
Thus far there is a first draft.
All scripts are registered at WGA.
