I'm a retired federal On-Scene Coordinator and Enforcement Officer, with 45 years on the job with the USEPA in New York. I started writing screenplays about 20 years ago as a lark, something to do in my free time. Over the years, as I got deeper into writing, I took some writing courses in NYC and on-line with David Trottier, aka the Script Doctor. I attended a week-long writer's workshop with David at Sundance where we met Stanley Tucci.
One of my scripts was a love story- triangle set in the exciting world of bull riding. My uncle was the Exec Producer and we had a director and songwriter attached. We were not successful in getting sufficient financial backing, and WME passed on the project, so it died a quiet death. But, I learned a lot about the world of Moviedom. Since that experience I've continued to write, but decided that it would be mostly for my personal enjoyment and not so much as a means of enhancing my income. I have 8 completed screenplays and one currently being drafted. I live part time in LA and also in New Jersey where the rest of my family, living and deceased, is located. I'm very much enjoying retirement because it gives me lots of time to write, read scripts, and watch movies! One of my goals at this stage of my life is perfect my writing skills, and also
maybe one day be fortunate enough to get a movie deal.
On a personal note, I am a disciplined writer with good writing habits and skills. I have a compelling desire to create stories about life, love, death, deliverance, despair, and everything in between. I work well with others and I honor commitments.
