STELLA CARMEN, Latin, late 50s (imagine someone like Lynda Carter in this role), moves to Palm Springs after the divorce from her husband ALONZO. With sore emotions from having to 'start over,' she joins a senior's social group to connect with others in her same situation where she meets FAYE LEBLANC, Creole, early 60s, a lounge singer at a gay bar, widowed (imagine someone like Lynn Whitfield in this role), and BRONWYN ST. JOHN, Caucasian, early 60s, buxom, bawdy/offensive/sexually charged, former Hollywood B movie starlet, divorced and widowed (imagine someone like Morgan Fairchild in this role). Faye and Bronwyn befriend Stella, take her under their wings, and introduce her to the Palm Springs lifestyle where she encounters an eclectic group of Silver Foxes (handsome older men), Senile Oldies, Gays, Lesbians, Drag Queens, Transgenders, and Leatherettes (orange looking sun worshipping ladies), while experiencing bar hopping, excitement, flirting, BDDs (Big Dong Daddies), and opening a new chapter in life. With the help from Faye and Bronwyn, Stella comes out of her shell, embraces life again, and meets an attractive older man, DIETRICH MALONE, who becomes smitten by her. Stella realizes just because she is in the twilight of her life, doesn't mean she still can't sparkle. From kookiness to cattiness to raunchiness to playfulness, The Twilight Sparkles discover the importance of friendship and laughing at their problems.
