His father, Alex, the town's Ice Cream Man, has different plans for his only son. Alex has pleaded with Graham to forego college and remain with him to manage the business. Graham is horribly embarrassed of his Dad's profession and refuses to inherit the business, but halfheartedly agrees to assist with the launch of their new Creamery store.
In the flash of a moment, Graham's future takes a dramatic detour. While trying to defeat his nemesis in a high school competition, he collapses into a deep state of unconsciousness. While not seriously injured, Graham awakens in the hospital to discover the collision released an advanced version of himself named Superior. Identical to Graham in every sense, Superior shares his gift of receiving premonitions and enlists Graham's assistance. They are instrumental in saving a family from fire; preventing two young girls from digesting poisonous household cleaning supplies and foiling a spectacular accident between a big rig and a city bus. Though Graham and Superior experience a gratifying but sometimes contentious relationship, Graham must decide if Superior's ways are the answer to his destiny.
Graham ambitions are severely tested as his fellow classmate, Baracuda Crapse (a.k.a Cuda), seeks his utter destruction. The Crapses remain bitter about losing their ice cream business and hold Graham's father, Alex, responsible. Cuda carries onward his family's hatred by confronting Graham on several occasions, unleashing his demon dogs to tear Graham apart, challenging him in the school's 'Obstacle Course of Doom' championship and accosting him in the school's bathroom. As Graham reigns victorious in every battle, Cuda's hatred intensifies. Superior provides added balance to aid Graham in defeating Cuda at every turn.
The family business nearly collapses when their ice cream plant and creamery is forced to close due to a poisoning incident. A newly hired Creaminaire, Reggie "Hick the Brick" Hicksome, saves the day when he discovers hundreds of individuals whose lives were blessed by Alex's goodwill and requests their support. In an emotional outpouring of appreciation and charity, the people donate enough money and prized possessions to restore the business. Graham's strong relationship with Hick and his girlfriend Alyssa help him determine the correct path for his life. Graham eventually comes to the realization that he has a sacred mission to perform with his Superior Me.
