The purpose of this short project is to demonstrate the social construct of fashion and popular culture.
UNIFORMITY intends to display the contradictory nature of popular opinion as trends grow from something niche and “weird”, to trendy and popular.
Especially with Landon’s co-worker, this film presents the initial judgement that comes when someone breaks free from what is traditionally normal, while illustrating the contradictory nature of their belief system once the trend has become fashionable. Through Landon and his co-workers character arc, UNIFORMITY works to enable the audience to become more open-minded towards others styles and opinions, despite not being in the majority.
