The film opens with the visuals of an alien planet. Long deserted by its aboriginal beings, it still carries the signs of a powerful ancient civilization, with its citadels and towers piercing the sky. However, the buildings have begun to deteriorate, and there is no evidence of life anywhere around.
Except for one soul.
From Earth.
Back on Earth, in a hospital room, a coma patient is being prepared for euthanasia. A loved one—his girlfriend—has not given up and keeps talking to him, hoping that he wakes up. She knows that his mind, his consciousness is now elsewhere—however, she does not realize that at the time of the accident his mind somehow travelled light years away from Earth and landed on an undiscovered planet. And his girlfriend's voice is the only thing that can guide him back before he gets disconnected from life support. We don't see the protagonist—his mind has been completely dissolved into the planet's atmosphere—but the two Suns in the sky start glowing as soon as she speaks…
Is he really on an alien planet, or just trapped inside of his own brain? Does he have the mental strength to find his way back… or does he even want to? Accompanied by an ambient score and a classic Azerbaijani song "Ayriliq" ("Separation"), the film explores the largely unexplored condition of coma and the power of love and human brain to overcome the impossible, set against the backdrop of the beautiful Grand Canyon and the abstract architecture of an alien city created by the visual effects team.
