God wants to start Earth over (again), Satan objects because he is 'winning' the contest for the hearts and minds of us humans. God overrules the objection, but allows Satan some leeway in messing with the 12 families chosen to restart civilization. The story now finds our protagonist Will Fitzer just before the solar flare catastrophe that fries every satellite and almost every electronic component here on Earth. He's helped to survive the initial chaos then he's given the overarching mission to gather his somewhat scattered but chosen family to safety. Will Fitzer vs. the desperate, murderous human survivors aided by a devious Satan. Let the adventures begin!
Will and his 16 year old son head out cross-country in an older RV that survived the solar frying to find and ensure the safety of Will's 25 year old daughter in Maine. They find her holding her own, but barely. Will assists in establishing a secure compound to the point that his daughter and son don't want to leave Maine and fight their way back to the West Coast. Will decides to stay with them. Then he's reminded in no uncertain terms what his mission is and how important it is he sticks to the cosmic plan. You don't mess with Missions from God.
