Coverage Summary:

Buried Secrets by Tolan Furusho is a period feature script which tells a great story. The genre, tone, and overall concept are well established. The story is well established in its 1968 Mississippi setting, and both the title and the title page are perfect.

What the script lacks is twists, as there is currently too straight-forward and too easy a path to the confession, as well as a cliched “killer confesses all to the protagonist just before the end” moment which seems to lack motivation.

The writing, on the whole, should also be tightened up significantly, which will not only save space but also permit room for the inclusion of more ideas and plot twists. Currently, the script lacks a level of professional polish which would make it marketable.
