Summary

Taryn is a successful writer who has just been promoted at work, and given an opportunity to win the competition of a lifetime. When sharing the good news with family at her grandparent’s anniversary dinner, her cousin Ashli, “With an I,” the obnoxious blonde-hair, blue-eyed beauty queen, steals the spotlight from Taryn, something she’s done all their lives. Ashli’s big news is, She’s Getting Married! Taryn, who has given up dating after her long-term boyfriend, Brock, never committed to her, is forced to find a date when she learns Brock is the best-man in Ashli’s upcoming wedding. Taryn has no idea where to begin, but one of her friends convinces her to give online dating a chance. Taryn agrees to set up an online dating profile, but she refuses to use her real name or photo. Online dating proves to be one strike after another, with all of her dates ending in disaster. On the verge of shutting her profile down, Taryn meets her perfect match, a guy named “William.” The two begin an online courtship, determined to get to know each other before going on an actual date, something both feel today’s dating world has forgotten how to do. Unbeknown, William is really Liam, Taryn’s co-worker and biggest competitor at work. Liam is looking for someone to take home to meet his judgmental dad. These two become extremely close online, and when work pushes them together, they become even closer off-line. When their true online identities are discovered, love could win out, or the competition could heat up even more. Hopefully, it all resolves itself so Taryn doesn’t end up dateless at the wedding!
