Time Period: 15th-17th CenturyStory Location: EuropeSpecial Effects: Minimal SFX1623 Florence encourages a diverse community to realize the value of individual contributions, much to the chagrin of elitist tyrants. Galileo and his cohorts enjoyed supportive refuge there, until the Grand Duke dies and passes the torch to his pampered son. It's clear that family discord within and troubles without the borders of the small community shall soon end their legacy of liberty, to allow outside regulations to stifle all creativity. Darkness is closing in, but a deep-rooted belief that the legacy must not fade drives the young heir to gain crucial skills to prove that all obstacles can be overcome. He's mentored by an unexpected team to face personal and social issues, so that the annual fair to celebrate individuality is not cancelled and the guests that traveled far to attend are released from the clutches of the elite tyrants who captured them to be interrogated for noncompliance to their restrictions. The results of the victory are far-reaching, not only for Galileo to publish his work, but also to send off a ship captain who will carry the torch to the New World on Manhattan Island.
